• Dr. Todd Barnett holds a PhD in History from the University of Missouri, where he specialized in the history of American business, capitalism, marketing, and advertising, as well as the interplay of business, immigration, religion, culture, and politics. He teaches American history courses, such as History of Texas, History of American Business and Capitalism, and occasional Special Topics courses like History of the Gilded Age and Progressive Era. Dr. Barnett also teaches the writing workshop in the Science Fiction First-Year Experience course. He is currently writing a book based on his dissertation—a biography of Adolphus Busch, the cofounder of the Anheuser-Busch Brewing Association.
