Wilson Terrell Jr., Ph.D., supports the Provost in carrying out the University’s teaching and learning mission by:

Shepherding shared governance structures and processes, including the Academic Faculty Assembly, the University Curriculum Council, the Graduate Commission, the Faculty Development Committee, and the Commission on Tenure and Promotion.

Coordinating faculty recruitment and hiring in collaboration with deans and department chairs.

Collaborating with Human Resources for faculty hiring, appointments, and record-keeping.

Supporting academic deans, department chairs, and individual faculty members in all matters related to development, evaluation, and promotion and tenure.

Organizing New Faculty Orientation, working alongside the Collaborative for Learning and Teaching.

Supervising the selection process for the Z. T. Scott Faculty Fellowship, Murchison term professorships, the Piper Professor nomination, and other faculty awards.

Providing strategic leadership for the Collaborative for Learning and Teaching and the Center for International Engagement.
