Trinity student musicians will return to the stage to perform the University’s 30th annual Christmas Concert. The combined Trinity Choirs, Trinity Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Wind Ensemble, and Handbell Ensemble will perform at this year’s concert. Pre-concert music will include informal performances by the Trinitones, the AcaBellas, and the Trinity String Quartet. The Trinity Jazz Ensemble performs holiday favorites in the lobby immediately after the concert. The Trinity community, as well as the general public, are welcome to attend.
The event is free, and tickets are not required. Please arrive early to find parking in case there is a football game going on at Alamo Stadium.
Vespers
Sunday, December 8 | 6 p.m. | Parker Chapel | Livestreamed on Tiger Network
The Sunday following the Christmas Concert, Trinity faculty, staff, students, alumni and their families are invited to gather in the Parker Chapel for an annual Christmas service. The 1925 Mirage contains the first mention of the Christmas Vespers service, making the candlelit tradition of carols, songs, and scripture nearly a century old.
The event is free, and tickets are not required.
Christmas on Oakmont
Sunday, December 8 | Immediately following Vespers | Oakmont Court
After Vespers, the Trinity community is invited to descend upon Oakmont Court, where the University president and leadership will greet faculty, staff, and students in front of their homes. A tradition that dates back at least to the 1970s, Christmas on Oakmont is a chance for Tigers to roam house to house while enjoying tasty treats, festive music, and good friends along the way.
The event is free, and tickets are not required.
