The Office of Public Safety advances a safe, secure, and resilient campus environment through prevention, preparedness, protection, and response. By integrating law enforcement, emergency management, access control, and environmental health and safety, the office safeguards the well-being of students, faculty, staff, and visitors while supporting the university’s mission of learning, discovery, and community.

The Office serves as the university’s hub for campus safety, security, and emergency readiness. The office provides oversight of the Trinity University Police Department, emergency management and business continuity planning, campus access control systems, and environmental health and safety programs. Together, these functions work to prevent incidents, respond effectively to emergencies, manage building security, promote regulatory compliance, and foster a culture of preparedness and accountability across the university. Through collaboration, training, and proactive planning, Public Safety helps ensure a secure environment where the university community can live, learn, and work with confidence.

The success of the Office’s programs, policies, and procedures depends on active support and participation from the Trinity community.
