Policy Maker Breakfast Series

Trinity University’s Policy Maker Breakfast Series is a long-running public lecture and networking event series that brings national leaders, policy experts, economists, journalists, and innovators to San Antonio for conversations on major issues shaping society, business, and government.

It began in 1981 as a way to strengthen the connection between Trinity and the San Antonio business community and has grown into one of the city’s signature thought-leadership events. Each season typically includes four breakfast programs featuring high-profile speakers. Recent speakers have included Nicholas Burns, Vivek Murthy, and Katty Kay.

In practical terms, it’s part:

  • Community engagement — connecting Trinity with civic and business leaders
  • Thought leadership — elevating dialogue on current affairs and emerging trends
  • Brand visibility — positioning Trinity as a convener of important conversations

For Trinity, the Policy Maker Breakfast is about creating a forum where policy, leadership, and public discourse intersect. It is a bridge between academia and the broader San Antonio community.
