We are excited you have chosen Trinity as your next home. Your Spring New Tiger Orientation (SNTO) experience is going to be worthwhile and exciting as you embark on your next journey.
From SNTO to your first day of class, our Orientation experience at Trinity is going to set you up for success both inside and outside of the classroom. You’ll get the opportunity to connect early with staff, professors, and your peers, and learn about all the resources on campus that are here to support you throughout your journey at Trinity.

What to Expect
About Spring New Tiger Orientation (SNTO)
SNTO is an orientation for new students to learn and experience all things Trinity from the beloved traditions to the rigorous academics to the breathtaking views and lush greenery.
- Build Community with your fellow transfer students
- Take care of important business, such as academic group advising
- Residence hall move-in (for on-campus students)
- A campus tour hosted by your Orientation Team leaders
Transfer Student Mentor Program
Trinity recognizes that the transfer student experience is unique. While not first-year college students, transfers are beginning their first year at Trinity University. To help ease their transition and build relationships that last beyond orientation, new students will be paired with current transfer students through the Transfer Student Mentor Program. This program includes one-on-one meetings and transfer student socials designed to build camaraderie, offer guidance, and help new Tigers feel at home at Trinity.
Before Orientation Guide
This guide contains all of the important information that you don’t want to miss.
Orientation Preparation
Bring a laptop, tablet, or a writing pad and pen to all orientation sessions.
Some workshops and sessions will have handouts while others may suggest you write crucial notes or important dates for your knowledge.
Language Placement Exams
All language placement exams will take place online. Students will receive emails with language exam information individually.
Submit Photo for Tiger Card (TU ID)
Deadline: January 8th, 5:00pm
All new students are required to submit a valid headshot of their Tiger Card photo.
The Tiger Card is your all-access student ID card from accessing meal plans, laundry, printing, off-campus dining, and more.
On-Campus Student Employment
If you plan on working on or off-campus during your time at Trinity, please remember to bring appropriate forms of identity required for filling out your I9 documentation.
It is imperative that you bring original versions of all necessary documents, copies will not be accepted (this is a Homeland Security requirement, not a Trinity requirement).
Packing List
Make sure you have all of your essentials when packing and moving into your room or to San Antonio.
TrinAlert

Spring Student Involvement Fair
Friday, January 17th, 3:00-4:30pm, Esplanade
Come to the biannual Student Involvement Fair hosted by Student Engagement & Development. This is your chance to meet 113+ of our student organizations and sign up to get involved. You will make great friends and memories through these organizations, and as a student leader you will get multiple opportunities to learn about leadership at Trinity and how it extends to your career goals post-graduation.
Weekly Trinity Traditions
Join us for our weekly Trinity traditions of Nacho Hour. Open to the entire Trinity community. Bring your appetite!

These awesome Orientation Team (O-Team) leaders are here to welcome you to the Trinity community and to show you all resources available to students including, but not limited to: getting involved on campus, getting internships or on-campus employment, how to start a new student organization, and the best places to study on campus.
