• Becca Burt Steinbach is the Assistant Director of Career Development. Her role in the Center for Experiential Learning and Career Success includes student engagement, outreach, advising, and professional development efforts for the Career Services office. She primarily advises students interested in the humanities, education, non-profit, and social services areas, as well as undeclared and exploratory students.

Becca’s interest in working with college students began right here at Trinity, her alma mater. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Human Communication, with minors in Women's and Gender Studies and Communication Management. Her experiences working in the Office of Admissions and on the Orientation Team led her to pursue her master's in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Texas at Austin, with a graduate portfolio in Women's and Gender Studies. During her time at UT, she worked for the Leadership and Ethics Institute, and in Academic Advising with the McCombs School of Business.

Previous to her current role, Becca was a Senior Academic Coach in the Tiger Learning Commons at Trinity. She provided individual coaching to students focusing on time management, learning skills and study strategies. She has also taught the GNED-1100 “Academic Success” course, and coordinated several early-arrival programs, including the Academic Success Program, and the Skyline Scholars Program (formerly Summer Bridge).

Her favorite part of her job is learning about each of the students she works with, and strategizing for their future success. Becca grew up in Austin and is quite familiar with the stretch of IH-35 between Austin and San Antonio. When she's not at work, you can find her trying new San Antonio restaurants with her husband, or enjoying a good book on the couch with her cat and dog.
