University Extends Virtual Instruction/Remote Operations Through Mid-Day Wednesday

 Dear Trinity Community:

The National Weather Service has upgraded advisories in our area to a winter storm warning, which includes the potential for wintry/icy conditions for the overnight and early morning hours on Wednesday. Out of an abundance of caution, the University will extend remote operations/virtual instruction, with in-person activities resuming as follows:

Extension Through Mid-Day, February 1:

  • Academics/Research – Remote/virtual instruction is extended through mid-day Wednesday, with a return to in-person instruction resuming after 12:30 p.m.
  • Staff – Remote/virtual operations are extended through mid-day Wednesday, with a return to campus at 12 p.m. (noon).

All campus operations will be conducted remotely, with only essential personnel onsite. This includes TUPD, Facilities Services, and Aramark, who will have members of their teams on campus to support students.

Dining Services: For the latest dining schedule, visit the Trinity Campus Dish website.

Finally, a reminder that stairs, walkways, and roadways/lots across campus may become icy, particularly on elevated surfaces. Students and employees living and/or working on campus should limit outdoor activity and proceed with caution.

For after-hours issues, or to report an emergency, please contact TUPD at 210-999-7000 (emergency) or 210-999-7070 (non-emergency). University officials will continue to monitor local weather conditions, and will provide updates as conditions warrant.

Please review the following notice for an important update on campus operations due to anticipated inclement weather.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the San Antonio area, which includes the potential for wintry/icy conditions for the early morning hours on Tuesday. Out of an abundance of caution, the University will pivot to remote operations/virtual instruction on Tuesday morning, with in-person activities resuming as follows:

Tuesday, January 31:

  • Academics/Research – Remote/virtual learning in the morning, with a return to in-person classes starting at 12:45 p.m. and later.
  • Staff – Remote/virtual operations in the morning, with a return to campus at 12:00 p.m. (noon).

All campus operations will be conducted remotely in the morning, with only essential personnel onsite. This includes TUPD, Facilities Services, and Aramark, who will have members of their teams on campus to support students.

Dining Services for Tuesday, January 31:

  • Mabee Dining Hall – normal hours
  • Coates – closed until noon; Einstein Bagels will be open.
  • Starbucks (Library) – open at 8 a.m.
