Trinity University Celebrates FIESTA 2024
A celebration of culture, community, and heritage

Trinity's campus lies just moments away from the heart of downtown San Antonio, offering the Trinity community easy access to experience traditions such as FIESTA San Antonio. FIESTA began in 1891 as a way to honor the memory of the battles of the Alamo and San Jacinto. Over the years, it has evolved into a major celebration of the city's diverse cultures and heritage.

"FIESTA is a beautiful reflection of this wonderfully diverse place that Trinity calls home. I encourage us all to embrace FIESTA with true Tiger pride,” says Vanessa B. Beasley, Ph.D., president of Trinity University.

Trinity’s 2024 FIESTA medal was co-designed by graphic designers Laura Rodriguez and Alfredo Valenzuela. Their creative vision drew upon Trinity's vibrant colors, reflecting the essence of FIESTA. Incorporating the Murchison Tower, a landmark widely recognized by the community, served as a focal point. Additionally, Rodriguez and Valenzuela incorporated the shape of the Rose Window at San Antonio's Mission San Jose as a deliberate gesture to honor and connect with our San Antonio heritage.

FIESTA typically lasts for several days and features parades, concerts, food and drink events, art exhibitions, and other festivities. It's one of the largest and most anticipated events in San Antonio, drawing visitors from all over the world. As the event continues to evolve and captivate audiences worldwide, Trinity stands as a gateway for its community to partake in this iconic celebration, forging unforgettable memories and fostering a deep connection to the spirit of San Antonio. This year, you can catch Trinity at two major FIESTA events:
