John Heer Jr. M'85, FACHE Receives Leadership Award
John Heer Jr. M’85, FACHE Receives the Baldrige Foundation's Harry S. Hertz Leadership Award for 2016

In April 2016, John Heer, Jr. ‘85, who has received numerous honors for excellence in the field of health care administration including the 2014 Leonard Duce Award, accepted his most recent accolade with the Baldrige Foundation's 2016 Harry S. Hertz (HSH)Leadership Award. The HSH Leadership Award given by the Baldrige Foundation recognizes an individual whose behaviors provide a role model for others. While no one person in an organization can be credited with the achievement of excellence, this award recognizes and sets forth role-model leader behaviors that have inspired, encouraged, challenged, and empowered others to achieve professional excellence. John joins previous award recipients in sharing how they lead their organizations and inspire people to achieve high performance. Recipients of the award personify the HSH Award Core Value Attributes and Leadership Behaviors: visionary leadership, customer-focused excellence, organizational and personal learning, valuing workforce members and partners, agility, managing for innovation, management by fact, societal responsibility, focus on results and creating value, and systems perspective. Congratulations on yet another well-deserved recognition, John!
