• Mauro Oliveira is an Assistant Professor in Trinity’s department of Finance and Decision Sciences. Oliveira’s main research field is corporate finance, with emphasis on capital structure, bankruptcy, mergers and acquisitions, board of directors and leadership team, and the effects of economic shocks on supply chain relationships. Oliveira is a chemical engineer with a MS in Chemical Engineering from University of Houston, an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, and a MS and PhD in Finance from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Additionally, Oliveira brings more than 15 years of experience in business start-ups, operations and leadership. Oliveira worked in the oil & gas industry and as a consultant for health care companies. Oliveira is currently a member of the Financial Management Association.
