Sussan Siavoshi, Ph.D.
- Una Chapman Cox Professor of International Affairs , Political Science
Throughout my years at Trinity I have participated in the life of the university in various ways. First and foremost I have enjoyed guiding my students in and out of the classroom. I have been on various committees such as: the Faculty Senate, the University Curriculum Council, the Promotion and Tenure Commission and the "Difficult Dialogue" founding group. Currently I am once again a member of the Senate. I have also enjoyed my engagement with academic and non-academic organizations outside Trinity. I have given presentations on Middle East and Iranian political system, my area of expertise, in venues such as UTSA, St. Mary's University, World Affairs Council, and Rotary Club. My expertise on the Middle East, and particularly on Iran with its confusing political system, has made it possible for me to contribute to the intellectual life of the San Antonio community. I also love my connection with our alumni. Watching my former students as they blossom into successful and capable members of larger communities has given me tremendous pleasure.
