• I am an accomplished financial professional with deep, hands-on expertise in audit, quality control, training, inclusion, strategic planning, and development.  Prior to teaching at Trinity University, I was an Assurance Partner at Ernst & Young (EY) where I was the lead Assurance Partner for companies ranging from large multi-nationals to private equity-backed companies. During my 25-year tenure at EY, I proactively managed experienced professionals on diverse media and entertainment, consumer products, food service, and portfolio company audit engagement teams.

I built my career serving clients in challenging environments by building strong relationships with key client executives, Board of Directors, and internal decision makers, while communicating trends, developments, and KPIs. I assembled, developed, and motivated high-performing teams. My cost-effective approaches yielded financial margins consistently in top quartile of my peers. I am a recognized expert in developing audit plans, achieving comprehensive audit results, and presenting opportunities for improvements to client Board Directors and Audit Committees.

I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Illinois and Texas.

    Highlights of my work include:

    • Leading teams advising senior management of a US $3.2 billion advertising and marketing company on financing for acquisitions, extension of debt maturities, and liquidity needs.

    • Managing risk internally at EY in the US-West Region Quality Network as the Operations Leader and the Southwest Region Interim Risk Management Leader by evaluating regional progress, audit quality occurrences, and analyzing executive involvement.
