
Please review the following notice for an important update on campus operations due to anticipated inclement weather.
The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for the San Antonio area from 6 pm Monday through 6 pm Tuesday, which includes the potential for a wintry mix of snow/ice during the warning period. Based on the current forecast for wintry conditions, the University will cancel all non-essential operations, classes, programs, and activities for Tuesday, January 21.
Important Updates for Monday, January 20:
- The Library and the Bell Center will close at 10 p.m. tonight, Monday, January 20, to encourage safe travel by staff members.
- Mabee Market and Mabee Dining Hall will close at 8 p.m. tonight and will reopen in the morning. Visit dineoncampus.com/trinityu for the latest information and updates.
Important Updates for Tuesday, January 21:
- Campus dining operations will be limited to Mabee Dining Hall and all other retail locations will be closed. Visit dineoncampus.com/trinityu for the latest information and updates.
- All academic buildings, offices, and research facilities will be closed, including the Library. Visit trinity.edu for information about seeking telehealth and other virtual student services.
- The Bell Center will open at noon for students and staff on campus. Tigers are encouraged to use the Bell Center as a warming center if needed.
- Virtual operations are limited to staff assisting with student or campus issues. Classes, rehearsals, meetings, and other programming will not be held virtually.
- Only essential personnel will be on campus, including TUPD, Facilities Services, and Chartwells, who will have members of their teams available to support students.
Finally, this is a reminder that stairs and walkways across campus can become icy, particularly those that are elevated. Facilities Services and TUPD will address slick spots as best as possible, but be advised that not all walkways will be treated—proceed with caution.
