Bouyant, vital, opulent, sinuous, angular, pensive, yearnful, melancholic, bucolic and exuberant. Just a few words to describe the tunes we’ve had on repeat over the last twelve months.
Throughout 2025, jazz artists produced work encompassing a plethora of sub-genres and cultural traditions. The KRTU team is constantly adding new music into our rotation to continue the important dialogue along the historic jazz continuum.
This week on the Jazz Break at Noon join hosts Bria Woods and JJ Lopez as we share our personal top picks from 2025 and several notable highlights and innovative moments from throughout the year. You’ll hear from some of the artists who Bria interviewed earlier this year, as they share the behind the scenes ideas and processes to create their albums.
Tune in this week Monday through Friday from 12pm to 1pm CST to hear the tunes we’ve had on repeat. There are three ways to listen: on the dial at 91.7FM, online at krtu.org or on our free mobile app.
