Each year, Trinity proudly recognizes its students’ distinguished achievements in the areas of scholarship, research, and academic department involvement at the annual Honor Awards Convocation. This year’s solemn event was live streamed on Saturday, March 27, on the University’s Tiger Network.

As one of Trinity’s most important academic traditions, the Honor Awards Convocation celebrated the joy of human potential. Though we are currently living in a world of uncertainty—rife with challenges—Trinity students have met these challenges with courage, flexibility, discernment, and humility. These enterprising young women and men have persevered in the areas of:

  • Interdisciplinary and Disciplinary Honors
  • University Awards and National Scholarships
  • Phi Beta Kappa
  • Campus Honor Societies

Kelly Grey Carlisle, Ph.D., associate professor of English, was Trinity’s faculty speaker for this event. “Dr. Kelly Grey Carlisle represents what is best about our Trinity faculty—she is passionate, caring, challenging, and demands excellence from herself and others,” says Deneese Jones, Ph.D., vice president for Academic Affairs. “Of course, that is only fitting because we were celebrating a fine group of students who also hold themselves to the highest standards.”

You’re invited to watch all those recognized–the men and women who transform obstacles into opportunities—during Trinity’s Honor Awards Convocation on Tiger Network. These resilient, creative, and enterprising Tigers who see challenges as chances to build on our legacy of innovation. Together they are a force in motion.
