Handbell Ensemble
Good rhythm, tireless arms required for one of Trinity’s most unique ensembles

The Handbell Ensemble frequently emerges from the practice room in the chapel basement to perform around the campus, the city, and the state. Recent performances have included a guest appearance with the San Antonio Symphony at its annual Holiday Pops concert and at the San Antonio Fiesta Coronation.

The musicians have taken their bells across the state, whether performing at Baylor University in Waco or at Presbyterian churches in Corpus Christi. Trinity University percussionists frequently join forces with the ensemble when performing on campus or at local schools, and membership is open to all students by audition.

The Handbell Ensemble is especially active around Christmastime. The ensemble has performed in the annual Christmas concert every year since it began in 1994, playing everything from Advent hymns to pop classics in bright, melodious arrangements. The Handbell Ensemble also sets up shop on Oakmont Court during Christmas on Oakmont, performing for the passersby all evening

LeeRoy Tiger is Trinity's lovable mascot, spreading #TigerPride wherever he goes.
