NAICU Nominates President Beasley as At-Large Board Member
Trinity's president to serve national organization focused on representing private, nonprofit higher education on public policy

The NAICU (National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities) has elected Trinity University President Vanessa B. Beasley, Ph.D., as an At-Large Board Member. Each year, the NAICU nominates four individuals to serve a three-year term.

Since 1976, NAICU has represented private, nonprofit higher education and is the only national organization solely focused on representing private, nonprofit higher education on public policy issues in Washington, D.C. As one of the six major presidential higher education associations, NAICU's institutional membership comprises presidents from accredited private and nonprofit colleges and universities.

NAICU is focused on student aid, tax policy, and government regulation issues, protecting the independence of private, nonprofit institutions and ensuring that all students have access to higher education.

“I am honored to be a part of the NAICU organization and advance our shared mission,” says President Beasley. “The higher education industry is facing an important crossroad, and I look forward to the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across the nation.”
