A Trinity student’s tenure at the University is bookended by two long-winded climbs up Murchison Tower. The first is when they arrive as a first-year student. In a rite of passage, students make the 297-step trek up the tower during orientation to shake the president’s hand. Then, students climb the tower one more time as a senior days before graduation, to cap off their time at Trinity. Pictured above, students meet the president after climbing up Murchison Tower. If Tigers donate to the senior class gift, they can even sign their name on a brick to leave their mark for years to come.
