In the recently released 2021 “America’s Best Colleges'' rankings by U.S. News & World Report (USNWR), Trinity University was named No.1 for the 28th time in 29 years in the category of institutions that offer a full range of undergraduate programs as well as select master's programs in the Western part of the United States. The annual college rankings once again recognized Trinity's strong commitment to undergraduate teaching in the same category and region, along with best value and the most innovative school.
USNWR also gave Trinity high marks in the following areas:
- No. 2 in best value in the West
- No. 3 in undergraduate teaching in the West (tied)
- No. 8 for most innovative in the West (tied)
Trinity also tied for No. 33 in undergraduate engineering programs in the country.
"This number one ranking is a true testament to Trinity's extremely talented and engaged community of students, faculty, staff, and alumni," said Trinity President Danny Anderson. "Higher education is at a crossroads in 2020, but I am more confident than ever that Trinity will continue to adapt, innovate, and thrive with an increasingly diverse and resilient community. I'm happy where we are, but I'm even more excited about where we're headed."
Trinity was in good company with fellow No.1-ranked institutions in other regions: Providence College (RI) tied with Bentley (MA) in the North, Rollins College (FL) in the South, and Butler University (IN) in the Midwest.
