Trinity University launches national search for the next Vice President for Academic Affairs

After nearly four decades working in the field of education, current Vice President for Academic Affairs, Deneese Jones, Ph.D., has decided that the time has come to complete her current appointment and begin a “new chapter” in her life that creates more space for some important time with family and to attend to some projects and causes that are near and dear to her heart. Jones will officially retire on May 31, 2021.

“I am pleased to announce that a national search for Trinity’s new vice president for academic affairs is now underway,” says President Danny Anderson. “We are excited to begin an immediate review of applicants, with the application deadline of January 4, 2021.”

Academic Search, Inc., which has assisted in several previous searches, including the search for the 19th president, the vice president for advancement and alumni relations, and the vice president for academic affairs (that brought Dr. Jones to Trinity) has been selected to assist in the search for the University’s next chief academic officer. Academic Search has more than 35 years of experience conducting higher education searches. Stanton Hales, Ph.D., president of the College of Wooster from 1995 to 2007, will serve as the senior consultant to this Trinity search.
