What Makes a Tiger Roar
A podcast run by alumni, for alumni

Trinity University’s Alumni Career Engagement (ACE) is committed to creating spaces for alumni to connect across generations, where they can seek and give advice on how to navigate their professional journeys after graduation.

That commitment to storytelling and shared experience comes to life through ACE’s latest initiative: the What Makes a Tiger Roar podcast. Each episode dives into the pivotal moments that shaped the personal and professional paths of Trinity alumni, from career shifts to leadership milestones. Hosted and edited by alumni Kristin Fraser ’91 and Diego Flores ’25, the podcast highlights how the Trinity experience continues to echo long after graduation. New episodes of What Makes a Tiger Roar drop at the end of each month, offering listeners a chance to stay inspired and connected to the community that helped shape them.

Podcast guests have included Assistant District Attorney Lauren Zamora ’00, Geekdom’s Senior Director for Revenue Nick Honegger ’13, and Trinity’s Associate Director of Alumni Regional Programs Amanda Wise ’06, M’08, to name a few. Each alum has shared their own story of growth, purpose, and perseverance.

I meditate on KPIs (key performance indicators) for life, and one of my big things is how many humans I’ve impacted.”

–Nick Honegger ’13 in “Mind Over Matter” episode
