Alumni Spotlight - Caleb Harmel
Caleb Harmel (Trinity University ’23) currently works at Goldman Sachs in the Private Wealth Management division in Houston, Texas. He primary role is developing and implementing investment strategies tailored for high-net-worth clients.
Caleb is a standout alumni of Trinity University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance with a Minor in Economics. As a member of the Trinity University Student Managed Fund (SMF), he gained hands-on experience in investment research, portfolio management and financial analysis, preparing him for the fast-paced world of wealth management. His time in SMF sharpened his ability to communicate complex financial data, a skill that has proven invaluable in his client-facing role at Goldman Sachs.
In SMF, I gained hands-on experience in portfolio management, market trend analysis, risk evaluation, and making informed investment recommendations—capabilities that directly translate to researching and managing client portfolios at Goldman Sachs. The collaborative environment also refined my ability to clearly communicate complex financial data during presentations, helping enhance both client engagement and teamwork. Overall, the skills and insights I gained have been invaluable in helping me excel at Goldman Sachs.
