Trinity Learning and Development Introduces Skill Spotlights

Trinity University Learning and Development is pleased to introduce Skill Spotlights—concise, targeted learning opportunities designed to build essential skills through digital lessons.

These resources are available on the Learning & Development page of the HR website. Click on the Digital Learning Opportunities tab to find topics that are organized into clickable cards that link directly to digital courses in Workday.

To bring these tools to life, we are offering a series of Spotlight Sessions this fall. Each session will be held via Zoom and facilitated by Howard dePass Jr., director of organizational leadership & learning for inclusive excellence.

• Workday Learning Tutorial: Tuesday, September 23 | 2-3 p.m.
  • Learn how to optimize Workday for training and development, from tracking sessions to accessing LinkedIn Learning and assigning courses to your team.
• Energy Management Tips for Leaders: Tuesday, October 21 | 2-3 p.m.
  • Boost your energy, sharpen your focus—start with a 26-minute LinkedIn Learning course, then join us on Zoom for practical tips you can use right away! After registering, participants will be assigned the LinkedIn Learning course in Workday to prepare for this session.
• Managing Stress: Tuesday, November 18 | 2-3 p.m.
  • Learn to recognize helpful vs. harmful stress and apply strategies to improve performance. Complete a 22-minute LinkedIn Learning course, then join us on Zoom for practical stress-management strategies you can use at Trinity. After registering, participants will be assigned the LinkedIn Learning course in Workday to prepare for this session.
• Becoming a Team Player from Day One: Tuesday, December 9 | 2-3 p.m.
  • Explore key strategies to strengthen teamwork and support your team’s success. Complete a 22-minute LinkedIn Learning course, then join us on Zoom for an engaging discussion. After registering, participants will be assigned the LinkedIn Learning course in Workday to prepare for this session.

How to Register:
Please click any of the event links above to open the Workday Learning registration page and sign in using your Trinity credentials. Select the blue “Enroll" button, then press Submit. Once you have successfully enrolled, you will receive a Google Calendar invitation containing the Zoom link for your session by the end of the business day. If the session requires completion of a LinkedIn Learning course, that course will be assigned to you within Workday after you register for the Spotlight Session.
