• A native of Hopkinsville, KY.  Graduated from Centre College in Kentucky with a BA in History and English.  Began working in the Development Office at Centre in 1979 while also attending graduate school in history at the University of Kentucky.  Served as Chief Planning Officer and Special Assistant for four Centre presidents.  While continuing full-time senior administrative roles, joined the Centre faculty full-time, eventually being named Pottinger Professor of History.  Was named President of Monmouth College in June 2014, retiring from there in June 2024.  Married to Lobie Stone, with three grown children.
