IMPACT No. 6 takes us around the world as scholars engage in research, creative works, and community engagement. From Brazil to Ireland to Washington, D.C., and back to San Antonio—and so many places in between!—Trinity University faculty tackled some of the world’s most pressing issues.
IMPACT No. 5 found us in the middle of an atypical year—so this issue of IMPACT magazine isn’t typical, either. To steward crucial resources, we moved our content online, and the listings of publications, awards, and accomplishments are a highlight reel that accompanies the online format as a shareable PDF.
IMPACT No. 4 is a commemorative edition celebrating 150 years of research and teaching at Trinity University, featuring a collaborative musical project that culminated in a symphony written and performed exclusively for the University's sesquicentennial anniversary.
IMPACT No. 3 flipped the script on traditional classrooms, featuring faculty who use a flipped classroom method to engage students in thinking and learning. Other features travel from a combo biology/art lab to Main Street San Antonio to a national park in Utah.
What better way to engage the public in national discourse than to involve them in the discourse itself? IMPACT No. 2 highlights To Be Honest, a forum theater initiative, and its debut in San Antonio. Other features stretch from Medieval manuscripts to cutting-edge diabetes research.
IMPACT No. 1 is the foundational issue, but not everything inside is rooted firmly on the ground. The cover story explores one physics professor's work in outer space, highlighting his contribution to the LIGO gravitational wave discovery. Education and social justice topics round out the remainder of the features.
