Health Care Administration Check-Up
What has HCAD’25 Been Up To?

Students in Trinity University’s Masters of Science in Health Care Administration (HCAD) program experienced several exciting opportunities this semester. In every circumstance, they displayed remarkable creativity, passion, and resilience in an intensive, experiential learning environment that is preparing them to be exceptional leaders who are ready for the challenges of healthcare delivery, today and tomorrow.

Memorial Hermann Southwest Case
The class got to spend the semester working on a strategy case for Memorial Hermann Southwest. To better understand the community Southwest serves, we got to tour the campus and surrounding areas during our Houston visit. The case spanned across strategy, economics, and finance courses and ended with a presentation to CEO and HCAD Alum, Malisha Patel M’24.

ACHE Congress
At Congress, we had the chance to engage with leading minds in the healthcare field, gain valuable insights into emerging trends and challenges, and network with students in MHA programs across the country. One of the highlights of Congress was getting to hear Dr. Amer Kaissi present to a full room about his book, Humbitious. While in Chicago, we also had the chance to meet alumni of the program during mock interviews and the Ascension happy hour!

Case Competition
For the first time ever, Trinity participated in the Cornell Case Competition sponsored by Gilead Sciences. Eight teams were put together to create a business case for ESG and sustainability initiatives in the pharmaceutical industry. Two Trinity teams made it to the finals in San Francisco and got to present to a panel of judges with our final recommendations.

Class Bonding
When we weren’t working on homework or preparing for preceptors, our class was bonding! We had game nights, played intramurals, and went to the rodeo!
