The 2023 Niche rankings are in, and Trinity University has found its own niche—as a leading national liberal arts college.
On a national level, Trinity has placed No. 31 for Best Liberal Arts Colleges, No. 30 for Best Small Colleges, and ranks in the Top 100 of all colleges in America.
"The classes at Trinity will challenge you in ways that you thought you couldn't be challenged,” says a Trinity student interviewed by Niche. “If you felt like high school was too easy for you, Trinity will quickly humble you.”
Additionally, Trinity has ranked among the top 100 colleges in the nation for its communication, accounting, finance, business, history, performing arts, global studies, English and religious studies programs.
And in the University's home state, Trinity is the No. 1 Best Small College. It is also No. 1 for Best Liberal Arts Colleges and No. 3 for Best Academics.
To calculate these rankings, Niche uses data from sources such as the U.S. Department of Education and the National Science Foundation. The ranking system also evaluates reviews from students on the school’s academics, diversity, athletics, value, and campus life—and for Trinity students, the reviews were rave.
"The culture at Trinity values student well-being above all, which is refreshing," one student reviewer says.
"The campus is beautiful and peaceful. Most importantly, the professors here are very knowledgeable and supportive, and you can form good connections with them,” says another student reviewer. “Unlike many bigger state schools, it really feels like Trinity is focused on your individual learning and growth rather than just the grade you got on your homework.”
Trinity collects these accolades after being reclassified as a national liberal arts university and being named No. 55 in the nation for best liberal arts colleges by U.S. News & World Report.
