In his role, Brown will serve students as they manage academic, personal, social, and emotional issues and concerns. He will represent student needs to others, represent the University's interests to students, and work with faculty and parents on issues related to their students at Trinity.

Dean Brown currently serves as the Dean of Students and Chief Diversity Officer at Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. For 21 years, Dean Brown has been committed to helping students have a successful college experience, serving as the Associate Dean of Students and Director of Student Affairs at Amherst College, Executive Director of Housing and Residential Education at the University of Denver, the Assistant Dean of Students at UNC-Chapel Hill, among a number of other roles.

“In addition to being an adept and visionary administrator, Demi has been a nationally recognized facilitator around difficult conversations, helping lead Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation workshops at universities across the country,” said Sheryl Tynes, Trinity’s Vice President for Student Affairs.

Dean Brown is committed to making deep connections throughout campus and the greater San Antonio community. He is a tireless advocate for students, and is invested in their success.

“I have a commitment to education as a means of changing lives - because it has changed my life,” said Brown. “It is evident that Trinity has an exceptionally talented group of faculty, staff and students who care deeply about their school. I am looking forward to supporting the University’s student-centric, inclusive mission.”
