Trinity's David Macpherson Questions Economic Impact Report on San Antonio’s Proposed Project Marvel
Macpherson and other experts raise concerns about the city’s economic analysis for the proposed sports and entertainment development
David Macpherson, Ph.D., E.M. Stevens Professor of Economics and chair of Trinity’s Department of Economics, provided commentary to San Antonio’s KSAT News (ABC affiliate) about a city-commissioned economic impact analysis for the multi-billion-dollar plan to create the sports and entertainment district, Project Marvel, in Hemisphere, including a new Spurs Basketball arena. He and other experts agreed that the information provided in the economic benefits report may not be reliable for making an informed decision.
