Tuning in to Authentic Experiences
Alejandra Cordero Torres ’25 nurtured her passion for communication through campus involvement and hands-on experiences

Meet Alejandra Cordero Torres '25, an enterprising marketing and communication double major whose Trinity University story begins with family inspiration and culminates in a powerful blend of entrepreneurship, media expertise, and community engagement.

From running her own small business in high school to discovering her passion for broadcasting at Trinity's radio station, Alejandra's journey exemplifies how finding the right academic home can transform both personal growth and professional ambitions.

Family ties initially drew Alejandra to Trinity when visiting her sister, an alumna. Those campus visits revealed something special that would ultimately guide her decision. "Walking through the beautiful campus and seeing how engaged students and faculty were with one another, it felt like a true community," Alejandra says. "That sense of connection and belonging really resonated with me, and it played a big role in my decision to come here."

Alejandra's entrepreneurial spirit, cultivated since high school by running her own small business, found fertile ground at Trinity. The University's interdisciplinary approach allowed her to seamlessly blend her business acumen with communication studies, creating a powerful foundation for her future endeavors within advertising.

Throughout her Trinity journey, Alejandra immersed herself in campus life through membership in the Trinity's American Marketing Association chapter, Chi Beta Epsilon, and Delta Sigma Pi. These organizations provided invaluable networking opportunities and professional development. However, it was her senior-year internship at KRTU 91.7 FM, Trinity's campus radio station, that truly developed her passion for community engagement through media.

When reflecting on her time at Trinity, Alejandra characterizes the University with a single word: "authentic." This authenticity permeates every aspect of campus life, from classroom discussions to extracurricular activities, creating an environment where students are encouraged to pursue their true passions.

"Trinity encourages you to dive into what you're passionate about, while also giving space to pursue side interests through a well-rounded education," she explains. "It's a perfect environment for students with multiple interests who don't want to be confined to a single academic path."

With her unique blend of business savvy and creative communication skills, Alejandra stands ready to make meaningful contributions in her chosen field.
