At Trinity, we teach communication in the liberal arts tradition. Our students analyze and produce content across multiple platforms and from multiple perspectives, learning to function as flexible, strategic decision-makers who can keep up with rapid changes to our complex communication landscape.
Areas of Study
Analyze and create the media products that connect our society.
The Department of Communication’s integrative and experiential curriculum immerses students in analysis and production of cross-platform digital media. In the program, students learn how to leverage the revolutionary changes which continue to transform contemporary media structures, messages, and management.
Communication Programs
Students can major or minor in Communication, analyzing and creating media that form the basis of civic engagement, entertainment, science, and activism. Many students also pair Communication coursework with other majors and minors, focusing their attention on topics such as political communication, health communication, storytelling and media coding.
Interdisciplinary Minors
Students can also learn fundamental communication theories and apply them in practice through three interdisciplinary minors.
