The New Face of the University
A Welcome Center and Event Hall will complete the new entrance to campus off of Beneski Parkway, welcoming prospective students and their families, returning alumni, and friends of the university.
These two buildings will ensure a clear, inviting arrival experience and enhance the University’s capacity for hosting gatherings on campus.
Amenities
The new Welcome Center will house the Offices of Admissions and Alumni Relations.
The Event Hall will be a flexible event space, perfect for hosting groups of people for academic, student life and social gatherings on campus.

Construction Updates and Impact
Parking Updates for the 2024-25 Academic Year
During this year's campus construction, faculty and staff will lose access to:
- Lot F: Located between the Library and Dicke Hall
- Lot H: Located northeast of the Library and east of Lot F
In total, we will be short 91 spaces for faculty and staff parking, 14 spaces for visitor parking, and 5 spaces for disabled parking.
Alternative Parking Options
Although there is no plan to add new parking spaces during the construction project, the following spaces have been identified as alternative parking areas:
- Laurie Auditorium's orange level.
- Prassel Garage, located on the south campus near the mail center and facilities services.
- Alamo Stadium is open Monday through Friday.
