Students find ways to weave music into research for other disciplines.
“When I started my research, I had no idea where it would lead—now there are other choir directors who want their ensembles to sing this.”

Office of Experiential Learning
Undergraduate research is central to Trinity University's values. The Office of Experiential Learning provides a place for students to gain information about internships, community service and service-learning opportunities, beyond the classroom course projects, and undergraduate research opportunities.
Today, cross-cultural understanding is as much a practical necessity as an educational standard. Study abroad is an embodiment of the liberal arts ideals and a sign of the initiative and breadth often looked for by employers.
From China to Austria, students perform around the world, fully immersing themselves in the very regions from which their music originates. Learning truly takes flight from notes on a page to the history and culture surrounding works of music.
“If you want to learn about performing the language of the world, everybody understands the language of music.”
- David Heller

Concerts and Events
Stieren Arts Enrichment Series
Through the Stieren Arts Enrichment Series, Trinity regularly hosts an array of world-class musicians on residency who offer masterclasses specifically focused on our undergraduate students. These include one-on-one interactions through private lessons, joint performances, and guest lectures.
Christmas Concert and Vespers
Trinity considers the annual Christmas Concert its gift to the San Antonio community. Many different ensembles, from choir to handbell and orchestra, join together for an evening of holiday music and sing-a-longs. The concert is usually streamed live on the Tiger Network for the world to enjoy. The Sunday following the Christmas Concert, Trinity’s community gathers in Parker Chapel for an annual Christmas Vespers service.
Choral Union combines Trinity’s choirs with faculty, staff, and alumni on campus and the Trinity Symphony Orchestra for a magnificent performance.
Trinity’s ensembles regularly hold concerts during the semester that are open to the public.
