The Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations at Trinity University builds meaningful, long-term partnerships with corporations and foundations to align their philanthropic goals with the University’s initiatives. These partnerships play a vital role in supporting Trinity’s investments in faculty, students, and programs, fostering innovation through cutting-edge technologies and state-of-the-art facilities. From small local businesses to multinational corporations, these donors are essential to advancing Trinity's educational mission and empowering students on their journey of lifelong learning.
How to make an impact
Major gifts and grants to create unique, permanent endowments at the university, often named after the company or foundation. A few ways to make your impact include:
- Membership in Trinity University’s Business Affiliates (TUBA) program, which offers access to exclusive programming.
- Matching gifts for employees who have donated to Trinity.
- Sponsored research.
- Family foundations.
- In-kind gifts such as food and supplies for events or equipment donations.
- Tax deductions on all gifts and grants.
- Large gifts may be paid over several years if necessary.
One Giant Microscope, “Minnie” Possibilities
Thanks to a $580,000 gift from the Max and Minnie Tomerlin Voelcker Fund (“Minnie” is the device’s namesake), this Nikon NSpark confocal microscope is ready for use by about 10 research teams on campus and will play a crucial role in teaching and training the next generation of Trinity research scientists, according to associate professor and Chemistry Chair Corina Maeder, Ph.D.
Trinity Scientist Directs New Mission Reach Ecological Restoration Project
Trinity University, the San Antonio River Authority (SARA), the River Warrior Volunteers, and Microsoft gathered to plant more than 2,500 native grasses and wildflowers along Mission Reach as part of a 23-month ecological restoration project, which was developed and initiated by Trinity biology professor Kelly Lyons, Ph.D.
Trinity Prize in Teaching Excellence Honors 16 Area Educators
Trinity University, in partnership with Whataburger, recognized 16 teachers from the San Antonio area for outstanding performance in public education.
