Science Community and Classroom Outreach

A brief perspective on outdoor classrooms is available here for anyone to share with their school district (or place of business): aerosol_perspective-outdoor_classrooms-generalized.pdf

We come to schools! We have developed optics, chemistry, and weather-related outreach activities for pre-K and up (some examples below). Engaging in outreach and broader impacts activities is one of the more rewarding aspects of being a practicing scientist in academia, so if you would like a visit to your classroom, we would love to hear from you. Please contact Ryan Davis at rdavis5@trinity.edu for more details.

Levitation Facility

We encourage requests for use of our instrumentation

We encourage any interested researchers or students to contact us about using our available instrumentation. We currently have two linear quadrupole electrodynamic balances and a long working distance optical trap. These are capable of single- and multi-particle trapping of particle from ~1 to 100 microns in diameter.

Please contact Ryan Davis at rdavis5@trinity.edu for more details.
