Trinity University is pleased to announce the 2021 Five & Seven Sonoma County Pinot Noir, an exquisite wine from father and son alumni duo Adam Lee ’87 and Christian Lee ’21.
Trinity University began classes on September 23, 1869 with five faculty members and seven students. Those dozen individuals formed the genesis of what we now know as San Antonio's Trinity University.
This wine, like Trinity, began small — as primordial buds over 18 months before there was even a harvest. Now it has reached its aperture. Enjoy it and let it remind you that great things often have small beginnings.
The 2021 Five & Seven Sonoma County Pinot Noir is a blend of wine from premier vineyards in both the Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast appellations. Coming from a superb vintage for Pinot Noir, this wine showcases bright red fruits from the cooler coastal vineyards as well and more lush, darker fruit tones from the Russian River Valley. The wine gains weight on the mid-palate and finishes with a long, slightly tannic finish. This promises a long lifetime ahead for the wine. At the moment, it will pair well with food such as pork and medium red meats, but this wine should last for a good 5-8 years.
Five & Seven is available via the Beau Marchais Wine website. Twenty percent of sales of Five & Seven will go to Trinity.
