Winter Commencement Ceremony Scheduled for Dec. 17
Join the Trinity community in honoring its December graduates

On Saturday, Dec. 17, at 10 a.m., Trinity University will conclude 2022 with the Winter Commencement ceremony in Laurie Auditorium. Immediately following the ceremony, the president’s reception will be held in the Center for the Sciences and Innovation Cube and Atrium.

President Vanessa B. Beasley, Ph.D., is excited to celebrate her first commencement ceremony at Trinity and join in honoring and congratulating the December graduates.

"I am delighted to preside over my first commencement at Trinity,” Beasley says. “It is an honor and a pleasure to help celebrate the accomplishments and hard work of these students with friends and loved ones. I wish them the very best as they start a new chapter in their lives."

Trinity has a total of 119 students graduating in Winter 2022. This includes:

  • Bachelor of Arts - 37
  • Bachelor of Science - 33
  • Master of Arts in School Psychology - 1
  • Master of Education - 15
  • Master of Science in Health Care Administration - 33

“My time at Trinity has taught me how to learn, to think, and how to be human,” says Claire Siewert, a December 2022 graduate. “I have enjoyed many incredible opportunities throughout my time here, from serving as the internal chair of the Academic Honor Council to conducting research as a Mellon Initiative SURF, and from being a peer tutor for the inaugural ‘Literature and Life’ First-Year Experience course to writing an honors thesis. I am looking forward to using my humanities degree in the world and continuing to lead a life full of empathetic, earnest learning.”

Danny Nguyen ’24, president of the Student Government Association, will speak on behalf of the graduating students, and Jane Childers, Ph.D., professor and chair of the Department of Psychology, will give the commencement address.

Families and guests should arrive at least 30 minutes before the ceremony starts to have adequate time to park and find their seats. Tickets are not required for guests at the commencement ceremony or for the president’s reception.

For those who can’t attend in person, the ceremony will be live-streamed on Tiger Network at the start of the event. Additionally, the ceremony will be available to watch on demand the same day.
