The Trinity University Police Department (TUPD), in partnership with Parking Services, brings you the following important updates:
Starting in the fall of 2025, all Trinity University faculty, staff, and students who park on campus and surrounding streets will be required to have a parking permit at all times. This year, two new permit types are being introduced, in addition to the three previously offered.
Permit Types:
- Residential Student Permit
- Available for purchase for any student who resides in a residence hall other than City Vista.
- Allows parking in all lower campus parking lots at any time.
- Allows parking in upper campus parking lots outside of business hours.
- NEW Non-Residential Student Permit
- Available for purchase for any student who resides off campus.
- Allows parking in upper campus parking Lot B and Laurie Orange Level, and lower campus parking Lot O, Lot S, and Prassel Garage at any time.
- Allows parking in all other upper campus parking lots outside of business hours.
- City Vista Permit
- Provided at no extra cost to residents of City Vista as part of their rental agreement.
- Allows parking at City Vista at any time.
- Allows parking in Lot O, Lot S, and Prassel Garage outside of business hours.
- Allows parking in upper campus parking lots outside of business hours.
- City Vista students may elect to purchase a Residential Student Permit.
- NEW Campus Access Permit
- Available for free for any Faculty, Staff, or Non-Residential Student
- Allows parking only at Alamo Stadium and surrounding University streets (Oakmont Ct., Rosewood Ave., etc.).
- Allows parking in upper campus parking lots outside of business hours.
- Faculty / Staff Permit
- Available for purchase for any employee of Trinity University.
- Allows parking in any lot at any time.

NEW Open Space App: After a successful pilot with the open-space counters at Laurie Auditorium, we added another open-space counter at the Prassel Garage. The newly acquired Open-Space App provides the open-space count of the Laurie Auditorium Garage parking levels and the Prassel Garage. You can download the app by clicking one of the links below. Once downloaded, you will choose the “I have a code” option and enter code: TU20250530, then choose Trinity University.
