Parking Permits and Vehicle Registration

Information for the 2025-26 Academic Year

The registration of a vehicle on campus does not guarantee a parking space, but affords the registrant the opportunity to park in authorized parking areas when spaces are available. Vehicle registration is required each academic year.

Student Permits

All vehicles, to include motorcycles, motor scooters, and mopeds operated or parked on University property, Alamo Stadium, Oakmont, and surrounding campus streets by students must be registered with Parking Services.

Permit Options

Replacement Permit
No charge for a replacement permit if the registered vehicle's windshield was replaced, the vehicle was inoperable due to an accident, the vehicle was sold, permanently replaced, or stolen. The student will need to provide information validating their reason.

Parking Services must be notified of the change in vehicle ownership. You must remove your previous vehicle online through MyParking and register the replacement vehicle, to avoid receiving a citation.

Lost parking permits should be reported to TUPD by calling 210-999-7070.

$20 per permit

How to Purchase a Permit

Students may only register one vehicle. 
Students can register their vehicles online and purchase a parking permit through the MyParking self-service site using their TU network credentials.

All persons must present a valid state driver’s license when registering their vehicle.

Login to MyParking using your TU network credentials.
Select “Manage Vehicles" to add or deactivate a vehicle.
Select "Permit Registration" and choose the vehicle.
Select the permit registration application from the drop-down list.
Enter your Full Name or draw a signature to give consent of the Contract Agreement.
Enter required information.
Select "Pay Fee" and continue to complete the registration process.

MyParking Vehicle Registration

Payment Options:

Students can charge the parking permit fee to their student account through the last day of add/drop, as identified on the academic calendar.
Completing online registration will authorize Trinity to apply the cost of a parking permit to the student account or debit/credit card.

Registration Dates

Registration for the 2025-26 academic year will open on July 8, 2025.

Display of Permits

Students who park on campus must be currently registered and have a permit properly displayed at all times.

Vehicle decal permits must be permanently affixed to the inside of the front windshield driver side of the vehicle.

Motorcycle and moped decal permits must be permanently affixed to the right front outer fork tube or behind the side mirror.

Employee Permits

All vehicles, to include motorcycles, motor scooters, and mopeds operated or parked on University property, Alamo Stadium, Oakmont, and surrounding campus streets by employees must be registered with Parking Services.

How to Purchase a Permit

Employees who wish to register more than one vehicle (up to 2) must purchase a permit for each vehicle.
Employees can register their vehicles online and purchase a parking permit through the MyParking self-service site using their TU network credentials.

All persons must present a valid state driver’s license when registering their vehicle.

Login to MyParking using your TU network credentials.
Select “Manage Vehicles" to add or deactivate a vehicle.
Select "Permit Registration" and choose the vehicle.
Select the permit registration application from the drop-down list.
Enter your Full Name or draw a signature to give consent of the Contract Agreement.
Enter required information.
Select “Pay Fee” and continue to complete the registration process.

MyParking Vehicle Registration

Registration Dates

Registration for the 2025-26 academic year will open on August 1, 2025.

Payroll deduction is only available from August 1 - August 31.

Payment Options

TU employees may opt to use payroll deduction upon registering their vehicle and requesting a parking permit in MyParking. Employees will also need to enroll in payroll deduction through Workday. Otherwise, failing to do both, will delay the process in issuing the employee's permit and the parking permit fee will be due in full prior to obtaining it from Parking Services.

Display of Permits

Employees who park on campus must be currently registered and have a permit properly displayed at all times.

Vehicle permits must hang from the interior rear view mirror, with the permit number facing forward and must be visible from the front exterior of the vehicle.

Motorcycle and moped decal permits must be permanently affixed to the right front outer fork tube or behind the side mirror.

Transferring Permits

Parking Services must be notified of the change in vehicle ownership. Permits are only transferable if the vehicle is permanently replaced (e.g. sold, inoperable, windshield replaced).

You must remove your previous vehicle online through MyParking and register the replacement vehicle.

Visitor Permits

Visitors do not require a permit to park on campus. Visitors are persons periodically parking on campus that are not registered for classes or employed by the University.

People who regularly frequent the campus (at least once a week) are NOT considered visitors and are required to purchase a parking permit.
