Faculty Senate

The Faculty Senate represents the Academic Faculty of Trinity University in all matters of professional concern and works with the Administration in the formulation, interpretation, and implementation of general University policy. The Faculty Senate is composed of twenty members of the Academic Faculty who do not hold administrative positions above the rank of departmental Chair, who, at the time of election, are completing at least their second academic year on the faculty of Trinity University.

The Faculty Senate maintains a repository of meeting agendas, minutes, and resources in Canvas. Senate meetings are open to the campus.

Faculty members can direct their inquiries to the current chair of the Faculty Senate, Dr. Nicolle Hirschfeld (Classical Studies), or the current vice-chair, Dr. Chad Spigel (Religion).


 

University Curriculum Council

The faculty, students, and administrators who comprise the University Curriculum Council (UCC) meet several times a year to take up matters of lasting importance to the Pathways Curriculum and academic policy. Faculty are elected to serve for a three-year term.

The UCC considers all curricular additions, deletions, and revisions. All changes approved by the UCC are then forwarded to the Faculty Assembly for final adoption into the University curriculum.

The UCC maintains a repository of meeting agendas, minutes, and resources in Canvas. Senate meetings are open to the campus. Faculty members can direct their inquiries to the current chair of the UCC, Dr. Jorge Colazo (Finance and Decision Sciences), or vice-chair, Dr. David Crockett (Political Science).
