Regular CSL Programs
When: Every other Sunday evening
Where: Chaplain Alex Serna-Wallender’s house
A dinner that begins with fellowship around a meal and then breaks out into small groups that explore a central question for the week. Discussion topics relate to meaning, identity, vocation, faith, purpose, and belonging.
When: Every other Thursday
A multi-faith gathering that allows participants to explore the meaningful places of connection and of difference between their spiritual traditions.
Music at Parker Chapel
When: Tuesday Afternoons
Where: Parker Chapel
A 30-minute time of sacred music midday on Tuesdays that allows for prayerful reflection and contemplation in the beauty of Parker Chapel.
Prayer in the Style of Taize
When: Sunday Evenings
Where: Parker Chapel Meditation Chapel
A service on contemplative prayer, scripture, and song.
Dinner and Dialogue
A monthly opportunity for members of the Christian campus ministries to gather and discuss a passage of scripture or concept central to the Christian faith.
Leaning on Literature
A multi-week book club discussion of a text selected by the Christian CSL fellows that explores the intersections of Christian faith and everyday living.
Scholars and Spirituality Talks
An opportunity for faculty members to share with students how their spiritual tradition has shaped their vocation and scholarship.
When: Twice a semester
Where: Around San Antonio
Group trips to sacred sites around San Antonio. Example visit locations include the Sikh Dharamsal, Temple Beth-El, and MCECC Masjid.
