LEADERSHIP SKILLS
Student Leadership Trainings
The Office of Student Involvement hosts trainings for students interested in developing their leadership capacity and gaining leadership skills.

Student Leadershipalooza
The annual Student Leadershipalooza is required for all student organization presidents and highly encouraged for all new officers of student organizations to attend.
Each participant will talk with other organizations and their own membership about goal setting, team building, and ensuring organizational success. Content is curated around student organization leaders and elements that are critical to the success of student organizations and groups.
T-SPACE Training
T-SPACE training is required in order for student organizations to reserve campus spaces for events. Student organization leaders can complete the training anytime during the academic year, though it is best to complete it in June after officer transitions.
Only one representative of each organization may receive reservation privileges. After successfully passing the quiz, the representative will be issued a password that provides access to T-SPACE. Outgoing T-SPACE coordinators should continue to make reservations until new officers receive an updated login and password.
Risk Management Training
Following section 51.9361 of the Texas State Education Code, student organization officers must complete a Risk Management Training at the beginning of each academic year. The Office of Student Involvement will share training information with:
- Presidents
- Risk Management Chairs
- Orientation Chairs
- Recruitment and Membership Chairs
- Social Chairs responsible for planning events
If an organization’s designated student officers do not complete this required training, the organization will be placed on inactive status and will lose all privileges associated with recognition as an active organization.
