Recruitment:

Timeline: 

• August through January*

Events:

• Three formal recruitment events in the fall semester.
  • 1st and 2nd Round formal events in September and October are open to any and all Trinity students.
  • 3rd Round formal events in November are invite-only. Students indicate interest in attending an organization’s 3rd Round formal event through a process called RSVP at the end of October.
• Informal recruitment events such as:
  • One-on-one and/or group rush dates with members.
  • Informal hangouts on and off campus.
  • Other fun events that allow potential new members to get to know FSL actives.

*The recruitment process for our city-wide NPHC organizations is different than our local organizations. The membership intake process generally takes place in September/October during the fall semester and February/March during the spring semester. More information will be shared with students as each individual NPHC organization's intake timeline is finalized.

Purpose: This unique deferred rush process allows students to engage with multiple organizations through informal and formal recruitment events providing them with ample time to find their fit as well as the opportunity to form relationships with fellow potential new members and various organization members that will continue regardless of where they choose to join.

The FSL 2025-2026 Calendar will be out later this summer!

Orientation:

Timeline: 

• Starts on Bid Day at the beginning of the spring semester and runs for approximately three weeks.

Events:

• New Actives can expect a weekly schedule that includes:
  • Dinners with their New Active Class and others
  • Study hours
  • Evening events to bond and learn more about their new organization. These include, but are not limited to:
    • Learning the history and values of an organization
    • Org Value/Pillar nights
    • Opportunities to engage alumni
    • Team building and problem-solving activities
    • Opportunities for older actives and new actives to bond
    • Understanding the commitments associated with being a part of an FSL organization

Purpose: To ensure the Orientation process is truly values-driven, diversity, equity, and inclusion conversations and risk management discussions are intertwined throughout the Orientation experience.

Dues:

• Sorority Average Dues: $250/semester
• Fraternity Average Dues: $350/semester
• All organizations offer scholarships and payment plans. Greek Council awards dues waivers up to $150 a semester to students identified by the Financial Aid Office with the most financial need.
