Due to the psychiatrist’s limited availability, referrals to the psychiatrist are limited to counseling clients who have never been treated with psychiatric medication.

Psychiatric services are confidential in accordance with the AMA Code of Ethics as well as Texas legal statutes.


 

What is Psychiatry?

Psychiatry is an area of medicine involving the study, diagnosis and treatment of mental health disorders. Psychiatric services at Trinity are focused on the diagnosis and treatment of such disorders with medication as an adjunct to individual counseling.

What to expect

Our psychiatrist will provide an evaluation and subsequent psychiatric medication management at no charge for an enrolled student for whom we are providing counseling within our scope of services. The psychiatrist and the student’s counselor will collaborate in their mutual commitment to high quality care.
